What is Homeopathy?

Today’s post will begin with an explanation of homeopathy, followed by a discussion of the three main types of homeopathy, some suggestions for further reading on the topic, and finally links to three posts that chronicle the OFF KLTR journey to homeopathy.

I.  What is Homeopathy?

The Society of Homeopaths explains

Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with  highly diluted substances, given mainly in tablet form, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing. Based on their specific symptoms, a homeopath will match the most appropriate medicine to each patient.

Like Cures Like

Homeopathy is based on the principle that you can treat ‘like with like’, that is, a substance which causes symptoms when taken in large doses, can be used in small amounts to treat those same symptoms. For example, drinking too much coffee can cause sleeplessness and agitation, so according to this principle, when made into a homeopathic medicine, it could be used to treat people with these symptoms. This concept is sometimes used in conventional medicine, for example, the stimulant Ritalin is used to treat patients with ADHD, or small doses of allergens such as pollen are sometimes used to de-sensitise allergic patients. However, one major difference with homeopathic medicines is that substances are used in ultra high dilutions, which makes them non-toxic.

The Science of Homeopathy

Homeopathic medicines (which homeopaths call remedies) are prepared by specialist pharmacies using a careful process of dilution and succussion (a specific form of vigorous shaking).

As yet, science has not been able to explain the mechanism of action of ultra high dilutions in the body, but laboratory experiments have repeatedly demonstrated that homeopathically prepared substances cause biological effects. For example, the hormone thyroxine prepared as a homeopathic ‘30C’ dilution can slow down the process of metamorphosis of tadpoles into frogs.

II.  Three Types of Homeopathy

I would like to begin with the disclaimer that I have surmised that there are three types of homeopathy!!  And I believe those three types are:

1.  In classical homeopathy, treatment usually consists of prescribing one remedy at a time even when multiple symptoms are present, in order to address the (singular) spiritual cause of illness.  The goal of the practitioner is to find her patient’s “constitutional remedy”.  A constitutional remedy is one homeopathic medicine used to treat a  constellation of symptoms in one person. Generally, constitutional treatment is  used in treating more chronic cases.

2.  Inspiring Homeopathy was discovered by  Dr. Tinus Smits He contended that “at the individual layer everybody needs his individual (constitutional) remedy, but once arrived in the universal layers only a few remedies can be used.  There are 9 universal or Inspiring remedies.  This aspect of universal layers, where the individuality of the patient seems to be lost, can be for the classical homeopath a big obstacle. But once the patient enters these universal layers practice proved to me that these remedies were the best ones to resolve their problems and to help them to evolve to deeper awareness and more stability in both physical and emotional, mental and spiritual health.  …This way of homeopathic treatment goes really to the roots of mankind’s suffering and is quite different from the classical homeopathic treatment, that’s why I gave it a new name: Inspiring Homeopathy.

3. Post-Vaccination Syndrome and CEASE Therapy

Post-Vaccination Syndrome (PVS) is a medical diagnosis of a great number of symptoms due to vaccinations. This work formed the foundation for the CEASE therapy.  Both PVS homeopathy and CEASE therapy were discovered by  Dr. Tinus Smits.

Once the diagnosis of PVS is considered a simple and efficient treatment can restore health by giving the    vaccinations that caused the disease in homeopathic potencies. Even severe damage    as paralysis, epilepsy, general decline, etc. can partially or completely be    restored.  Also, it is possible to prevent post-vaccination    damage by giving the homeopathic dilution of the vaccine shortly before and    after the vaccination.

The treatment of autistic children and even adults has matured through 300 cases…and is called CEASE Therapy, which stands for Complete Elimination of Autistic Spectrum Expression. Step by step all causative factors (vaccines, regular medication, environmental toxic exposures, effects of illness, etc.) are detoxified with the homeopathically prepared, that is diluted and potentized substances that caused the autism. Currently we use the remedies to clear out the energetic field of the patient from the imprint of toxic substances or diseases.
