Holistic Practitioners We LOVE! Dr. Charles Krebs

Dr. Krebs practices Energy Kinesiology.

Energy Kinesiology is a non-invasive, holistic approach to health and wellbeing based on a synergistic combination of Western models of neurological muscle function and Eastern models of energy medicine. An important assumption of Energy Kinesiology is that the body naturally moves toward increased health and organization if underlying stress is removed. Energy Kinesiology uses a form of direct biofeedback called muscle monitoring to identify and treat stress or areas of imbalance.

Dr. Krebs has an amazing personal story.  A near fatal scuba diving accident left him paralyzed from the waist down and opened the door to a new chapter in his life. Through his knowledge of anatomy and physiology and his ability to move Ch’i with his mind from years of martial arts training, he learned to walk again.  You can read more about Dr. Krebs on the Lydian Center web site.

OVERVIEW OF SERVICES PROVIDED

Dr. Kreb’s Specialty is called Learning Enhancement Acupressure Program (LEAP).

In collaboration with clinical psychologists, speech pathologists, neurologists and other health professionals, Dr. Krebs has spent 25 years developing a comprehensive approach to assessing and correcting most learning challenges including dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, and many difficulties with reading, spelling and mathematics. This technique is being taught at colleges and universities in Australia and Europe and more than 500 practitioners currently employ all or some part of the technique in educational and health settings in Asia, Europe and North America.

Neurological conditions that affect learning are becoming increasingly widespread. Such conditions include:

  • A wide variety of learning challenges related to reading, writing and spelling
  • Dyslexia
  • Sensory Integration problems
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Central Auditory Processing Problem (CAPP) or Disorder (CAPD)
  • Vision and visual perception problems
  • Cognition and memory problems
  • Closed Head Injuries (e.g. resulting from concussion, etc.)
  • Stroke and brain injury

These neurological conditions normally result from or involve imbalances in brain function. LEAP is particularly well suited to address these imbalances by re-establishing and maintaining the precise synchrony of the brain. Brain synchrony is the basis for…

  • Learning and effectively processing information
  • Making appropriate and timely decisions
  • Regulating emotions in stressful circumstances

LEAP restores brain integration by re-synchronizing important neural flows. Acupressure techniques that employ the Law of Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine have been shown to be very effective in re-synchronizing neural flows, and re-establishing brain functional integration.

Why we LOVE! Dr. Krebs

Both OFF KLTR girls have seen Dr. Krebs – with wonderful results.  Dr. Krebs dramatically advanced our kindergartener’s language development.  Before seeing Dr. Krebs, she struggled to express her thoughts and feelings and after working with Dr. Krebs, her language was so much more fluid/fluent.  Much of the work that Dr. Krebs has done with our older girl has been to “de-tox” her way over-vaccinated little system.  She’d been vaccinated in China and then we took our pediatrician’s advice and re-vaccinated her in the States.  So…she’s been vaccinated according to US standards PLUS a several Chinese vaccines during her year in China.  The energetic de-toxing had a truly amazing healing effect on our girl.

And our two-year-old daughter has strabismus and Dr. Krebs is part of the team working to straighten her eyes.  And as you can see in her photos from my post on Lauren’s Gotcha Day, her eyes look pretty stinkin’ good!

Oh how we love Dr. Krebs.  And you must really love Dr. Krebs to be his patient as he costs $250 a pop.
