Adoption Journey: In China.

Lauren back at the hotel on Gotcha! Day.

Yesterday’s post inspired me to spend the rest of the week on the adoption theme!  Lauren has been with us for a little over six months!  I must say that is feels like she’s always been a part of our family (the whole meant to be together thing!!) and it feels like years ago that we were in China.  And somehow it’s only been six months…

I emailed the following message to friends and family from our hotel room in Guangzhou, China.

10 Fast Facts About Lauren

1.  Totally potty trained during day.  Usually has dry diaper in morning.

2.  Does not enjoy bedtime at all.  Can cry for up to an hour.

3.  Likes noodles.  Not crazy about rice.

4.  Favorite party trick is throwing any and all objects into floor.

5.  Has some Chinese words.  Sadly her parents do bot understand any of them.

6.  Has teeny, tiny feet.  Wears a size 5 with thick socks.

7. Has a shaved head.  But she has such cute little features, she can pull it off!!  Our best guess is that it is for ease of care by foster family.

8.  Shakes her head no! Like a champ.

9.  Has no choice but to stay in bed all night because her core is so weak that she cannot get herself from laying to sitting (or from sitting to standing).  Poor little thing.

10.  Has an adorable little giggle that makes us all laugh!!

Stay tuned for the Newly-Home Lauren Fast Facts and the hot off the presses Six-Months-Home Lauren Fast Facts later this week.
